Ogie Alcasid Celebrates His Birthday With A Concert for World Vision

On his 50th natal day, Singer/composer Ogie Alcasid is celebrating it with a concert for a cause. Nakakalokal is also the name of his album and he will be joined by Inigo Pascual, Solenn Heusaff, Jaya, Kayla, Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, his own daughter; Leila and many more.


Ogie Alcasid is also a brand ambassador for World Vision which will serve as a recipient for the proceeds of the concert. World Vision continues to look for sponsors for children who needed schooling, developed communities, and now campaigning against Child Sexual Exploitation.

The highlight of the concert is the duet of Ogie Alcasid and Richard Supat, formerly of the FORTEnors. Richard himself is a World Vision scholar and also worked with for the non-profit organization. It will be fitting because he is a testimony on how his life was change by World Vision.


Ogie Alcasid’s concert will be at Kia Theater on August 25, 2017 at 7:30 PM. Tickets ranges from P500 to P3,000. Nakakalokal concert is brought to you by World Vision, A-Team and in cooperation with PLDT Home. If you want to take part of World Vision’s campaign if you are interested to sponsor a child’s education, you may inquire at the booth during the concert.

Ogie Alcasid scores Gold for The Songwriter and The Hitmakers

Ogie Alcasid’s latest release The Songwriter and The Hitmakers does not only celebrate his 25th anniversary in showbiz, but also the achievements of OPM in recent years. The album was recently presented a Gold Record Award for outstanding sales of the album.

Universal Records General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go presented the award to Ogie during the GMA Variety Show Party Pilipinas last January 13.

The Songwriter and The Hitmakers was just released last October.
The album gathers all the biggest singing and recording artists in the country to breathe life to Ogie’s compositions, including both his biggest hits and new songs. Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, Piolo Pascual, Christian Bautista, Sarah Geronimo, Arnel Pineda, Noel Cabangon, Richard Poon, Jed Madela, Kuh Ledesma, Rachelle Ann Go, Kyla, JayR and Jaya are part of the album.
