The Whitney Houston Show is coming in the Philippines

It’s been four years since the music industry lost an icon like Whitney Houston. Everyone is affected by her death but her legacy continues to live on to those who love her music. Such person is Belinda Davids of South Africa.

She is already a singer when she auditioned for the Whitney Houston Show that will soon change her life. No one can replace Whitney but it is alright to have a tribute for her. Belinda Davids may be a professional singer but she is a fan which is makes her the right choice to carry the legacy.

Since then, Belinda Davids has been around the world to relive Whitney Houston’s music. She even got to copy her likeness if not a total lookalike and she wore the same exact dress designs the icon used to wear.

For one night only, Belinda Davids will bring The Greatest Love Of All: The Whitney Houston Show for a couple of shows in the Philippines. On August 26 in IEC Pavilion in Cebu City and August 27 in PICC in Metro Manila.

Whether you are a fan or not, It is an experience you wouldn’t want to miss  because it is hard to book her and August is Whitney’s birth month. Tickets are available at SM Tickets and Ticketworld. For more updates in the concert scene, follow this blog and like the L.E.N.S. blogs on Facebook.

Vienna Boys Choir Is Coming To Manila

It's been more than a generation since the Vienna Boys Choir last performed in this archipelago and now with the new generation of the Boys Choir, they are coming to perform in Manila for a one-night concert at the PICC on November 11.

It is also considered national pride that one of the Vienna Boys is a Filipino. I got the privilege to hear how Lance So joins the Choir that is already more than hundred year old. As member of the  Boys Choir, he is staying in a Viennese Castle and experiencing dormitory life and has regular schooling from 7:30 to 6:00 with 2 hours rehearsal.

He was the only one in the family who sings and the reason why he joined because he loves to travel. He already gone to a European tour. It is also his first time to be away from the family from across the globe.

Since then, he knows how to live by himself and is more disciplined and now he speaks German. Although he is a Filipino, he was born in Singapore because his family is already residing since his father is working there. His major pop music influence is Maroon 5.

The concert is also a fund raising project of the Xavier High School Alumni Association. The Embassy of Austria is also eager about this concert since the Filipinos already had ties with Vienna when our national hero Jose Rizal spent some time there.

This is surely an event not to be missed. Who know when they will be back again. For more concert schedules, follow this blog and like L.E.N.S. blogs on Facebook.
