The Voice’s DIA FRAMPTON debuts ‘Red’

Album cover
The Voice (NBC) Season 1’s runner-up Dia Frampton returns with a bang through her first full-length album entitled ‘Red’. Fans of the American singer-songwriter will be pleasantly surprised with the new album as Dia projects a completely diverse selection of melodies with her beautifully unique singing voice and stellar songwriting. The album is a stunning collaboration with notable producers and songwriters including Isabella Summers of Florence + The Machine, Tom Shapiro, Kid Cudi, Toby Gad, Chris Seefried, Mark Foster of Foster the People, Julie Frost and Meg White. Dia also proudly acknowledges her sister, Meg, as an instrumental part in the making of the album --- It's fun to write with friends and work with producers, but when I work with my sister, I can just be myself 100%. We are also close enough to say to each other, 'Yeah, that part sucks.' No hard feelings.
Dia Frampton

Red features ten exceptional tracks such as the upbeat motivational song “Don’t Kick the Chair”, the fast-paced guitar-driven tune “Isabella”, the promising radio-worthy single “The Broken Ones”, the cheery drum beat-heavy track “Good Boy”, the emotionally charged “I Will” featuring The Voice coach/mentor Blake Shelton, the electro-pop tune “Billy the Kid”, the country-inspired bittersweet song “Daniel”, the vengeful “Walk Away”, the anthemic masterpiece “Bullseye” and the heartfelt musical lyrics of “Trapeze”.

Red is an impressive first record for Dia Frampton and a fine follow-up that lives up to the potential she showcased back then. One cannot deny that even though she didn’t win The Voice, she is bound to make a mark in the music industry and stay true to her musical sound and honest songwriting.

Dia Frampton’s debut album RED is out now in CDs exclusively under MCA Music available at Astroplus and Odyssey Music & Video or online via www.MyMusicStore.com.ph

Bekmambetov recently filmed the band performing the song “Powerless” from their forthcoming album, LIVING THINGS, in Berlin, Germany for this exclusive clip.  Linkin Park’s "Powerless" is featured in the end credits of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.”

“Linkin Park are extraordinary musical artists who combine genres to create their own sound.  It only seems fitting for us to collaborate with them on this unique film.  It was a privilege to work with them on this music trailer,” commented Bekmambetov.

Added Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn, "Timur showed us the film and we loved it and felt we had a song that would be a great fit with his movie. We were delighted that Timur came to Berlin to shoot us performing it so he could mash it up with film footage in a really unique way.”

“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” will be released in local cinemas on July 4.  The song “Powerloess” will close Linkin Park’s upcoming album, Living Things, which is co-produced by Rick Rubin and Mike Shinoda and will be released June 26 on Warner Bros. Records.

‘Chasing the Sun’ with THE WANTED

THE WANTED charmers Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes are back to make fan girls swoon over the globe again. The British-Irish boy band who brought us mind-blowing singles like “All Time Low”, “Glad You Came” and “Gold Forever” presents us with their latest offering --- a self-titled Special Edition EP called The Wanted. The album comprises material from The Wanted's two studio albums, The Wanted (2010) and Battleground (2011), plus the new songs “Satellite” and "Chasing the Sun". The latter is set to be the theme song for this year’s Ice Age 4: Continental Drift. No other song in the world could have been more apt this rainy season than this hot new single. How could you go wrong with lyrics like ‘When the daylight’s fading, we’re gonna play in the dark till it’s golden again’? --- definitely an awesome tune to break the drizzly weather in Manila.
The Wanted

The Wanted Special Edition EP features ten tracks; all of it is world-class contemporary pop music. The three singles we know already: No. 1 Digital Single “All Time Low”, electro rave thriller “Gold Forever” and the monster Europop summertime No.1, “Glad You Came”. From the exhilarating electro-pop of “Invincible” to the tormented strings of “Warzone” and the throbbing electronics of “Mad Man”, “Chasing the Sun” and “Lose My Mind”, the album twists unexpectedly between both the epic and atmospheric through the soulfully acoustic tune of “Heart Vacancy” and the sheer euphoria of their own brand of future-pop, best summed up in the single “Lightning”.

The Wanted have already achieved four Top Five singles and two Number Ones, been viewed a staggering 30 million times on YouTube and sold over 400,000 copies of their debut album upon its release last October. Watch out as their sensational ditties and undoubtedly good looks will soon rock fan girls over the Philippines.

THE WANTED SPECIAL EDITION EP is out now in CDs exclusively under MCA Music available at Astroplus and Odyssey Music & Video or online via www.MyMusicStore.com.ph
