PARAMORE RELEASE VIDEO FOR “FAKE HAPPY” DIRECTED BY ZAC FARRO

Press release

“AFTER LAUGHTER” NOW AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE

Fueled By Ramen recording group Paramore has unveiled a video for their current single, “Fake Happy,” which is currently working its way up the Modern Rock radio charts, off their new album “AFTER LAUGHTER.”  The video is directed by the band’s own Zac Farro – watch here.

"The Fake Happy video was a very special video for me. This is the first time I’ve directed a music video on film. It was shot on 35mm. Also the first time working with my talented friend and DP, Josh Goleman. Everyone involved was amazing. I'm super stoked for people to see this music video. I feel it's subtle and charming and suits the song perfectly.” – Zac Farro

Paramore’s first new album in more than four years, “AFTER LAUGHTER” is available now at all retailers and streaming services.   “AFTER LAUGHTER” also includes acclaimed singles, “Hard Times” and “Told You So.”  The official “Hard Times” companion video has now earned more than 53 million individual views at YouTube alone. In addition, the colorful “Told You So” companion video – also directed by Zac Farro – has drawn over 18 million views via Fueled By Ramen’s official YouTube channel.

The GRAMMY® Award-winning artists’ fifth studio album, “AFTER LAUGHTER” was recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A – and produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen and Paramore’s Taylor York.  “AFTER LAUGHTER” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s TOP ROCK ALBUMS and ALTERNATIVE ALBUMS charts as well as #6 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200– marking Paramore's third consecutive top 10 chart debut.  The album has received over 250 million total audio streams to date and has also gone on to receive much critical acclaim including “Best Albums of 2017” coverage in SPIN, STEREOGUM, ROLLING STONE, BILLBOARD and much more.

Long regarded as one of modern rock’s most electrifying live bands, Paramore recently wrapped up their sold out North American “TOUR TWO.”  “A 2017 Paramore concert impresses simply by stacking the hits on top of each other until the lights come up,” enthused SPIN, while Billboard raved, “(Hayley) Williams fulfilled her frontwoman duties to the fullest, with hair-flip headbanging and can-can kicks galore, but perhaps most necessary… plenty of heartfelt and poignantly uplifting statements to keep spirits high.” Perhaps Brooklyn Vegan summed it up best, “The current seven-piece band version of Paramore is razor sharp, and they handled all the ‘80’s-inspired nuances of those songs as masterfully as they do on the album.”  Additional live dates will be revealed soon – for complete details and ticket information, please visit paramore.net

Meanwhile, Paramore is finalizing the schedule for third installment of their hugely popular PARAHOY! vacation experience, an interactive four-day festival at sea presented in partnership with Sixthman Productions and Norwegian Cruise Lines. The cruise – a full charter aboard the spectacular Norwegian Jade – will feature a specially selected schedule of bands, activities, meet-and-greets, and truly unique Paramore live performances. PARAHOY! sails roundtrip from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas from April 6th through 10th, 2018. For complete information, please visit www.parahoy.com.

Shot on location in Fort San Pedro, Cebu City, the video will also be shown on Channel V starting today.

During the open forum with fans, Pascual shared that recording a Disney song is a dream come true for him.  “I grew up watching Disney and Pixar films, so to be associated with them through this song is a blessing. Every artist dreams of this, I can’t believe it came true for me.”

Explaining what makes the song special, the 20-year-old singer-composer said, “The song speaks about, ‘Remember me for the positive things I did, remember me even if I have to travel far.’ Make every second count. Be you, be yourself.”

“Remember Me,” the signature song from “Coco,” was composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the Oscar-winning duo who created the songs for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 2013 feature Frozen.

Disney-Pixar’s “Coco” opens in Philippine cinemas on November 22.  Walt Disney Animation Studios's “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure,” an all-new featurette, will play in front of the film.

Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. When the townspeople unexpectedly leave early to enjoy their individual holiday customs, the sisters realize they have no family traditions of their own. So, Olaf sets out to comb the kingdom to bring home the best traditions and save this first Christmas for his friends. Directed by Emmy®-winning filmmakers Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers Skelton (Prep & Landing), produced by Oscar® winner Roy Conli (Big Hero 6), and featuring a screenplay by Jac Schaeffer and four original songs by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure opens in front of Disney•Pixar’s original feature Coco in Philippine theaters on Nov. 22, 2017.

“The once tightly controlled pop-soul singer is maturing with a robust second act full of bruises. Following his sinister thumper ‘Attention’ comes ‘How Long,’ a sweet song that masks pulsing sadness at every turn.”
-THE NEW YORK TIMES

Today, Multi-GRAMMY® nominated singer/songwriter/producer Charlie Puth unveiled a compelling new visual for his single “How Long,” which is available now at all music retailers and streaming services. Download/Stream HERE. “How Long” marks the second single released from Puth’s highly-anticipated sophomore album, VoiceNotes, and the follow-up to 2016’s RIAA Platinum certified debut album, Nine Track MindVoiceNotes arrives January 19th and is available now for pre-order HERE.

The companion video for “How Long” finds the hit maker embracing the humor and humility of dancing. Per Charlie, this is the first video he felt he could step outside of his comfort zone and have fun doing it.

How Long” was solely produced by Puth and written with collaborators Jacob Kasher (Attention) and Justin Franks (See You Again). With Puth as the sole producer on “How Long,” he’s giving fans another taste of the tone he’s setting for VoiceNotes. Puth announced the album title VoiceNotes during a visit to the TODAY show earlier this summer; watch him explain the meaning here.

Last week, Puth celebrated his forthcoming album with a run of high-profile national TV performances supporting his RIAA Platinum-certified summer smash single Attention,” with appearances on The Late Late Show with James CordenThe Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Talk.

“How Long” follows “Attention,” which was released earlier this year and went on to become Puth’s first No. 1 at US Pop Radio, holding the top position four weeks in a row, in addition to peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 where it remained for three weeks straight. After earning RIAA Platinum certification less than 16 weeks after its release, “Attention” is officially Puth’s most successful single to date. The official video has also become Charlie’s highest performing solo video to date, reaching over 500 million views.

Both written and produced by Puth, “Attention” has garnered critical praise with the NY Times declaring it “a savage takedown rendered in pinpoint 1980s soft-soul haze smacked hard by glossy funk,” while Billboard touted it as “a polished, groove-injected first taste from his upcoming sophomore album.”

Since the release of “Attention,” Puth has performed the single on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Voice, during Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and as part of The TODAY Show’s Citi Concert Series. “Attention” went on to be remixed by several major artists, including two massive remixes by David Guetta and KYLE. Throughout the reign of Attention this summer, Puth joined Shawn Mendes on the road for an arena tour, and saw fans filling the entire room each night, singing along to every song he performed during his opening set.
