This September 29, Christian Bautista is poised to unveil his 7th album under Universal Records entitled Kapit, duly named after his famed song. The Kapit album launch, happening at the Music Museum, will also serve as a concert treat for his listeners. The single, Kapit’s success, bolstered by constant radio airplays and a spot as Koreanovela Innocent Defendant’s theme song, led Stages and Universal Records to produce the event for the OPM icon’s latest album. “[Kapit is] a song about holding on despite the many hardships of any relationship,” shares Asia’s Romantic Balladeer, Christian Bautista.

The Kapit album, co-written and co-produced by Christian himself, features his duet with Encantadia star, Gabbi Garcia, for the hit TV program’s theme song, Maghihintay. Co-written by Christian himself together with Bryan Lotho of Sonic State Audio Productions, ‘Kapit’ offers a glimpse of what is next for Asia’s Romantic Balladeer, who is currently working on his new album, his first studio album since his platinum record Soundtrack, which was launched in 2015.

Already regarded as one of the premier and most sought-after balladeers of his generation, not only in the Philippines but also in Southeast Asia, Christian’s passion for music remains as strong as ever as evidenced by the work he is putting in in his new album.

Despite his busy schedule juggling his acting career (he is currently taping episodes for the Philippine remake ofMy Love from the Star) and his first love, Christian, a certified hit-maker with eight platinum albums under his belt, is bent on continuing what he does best – giving his loyal fans songs that will forever touch their hearts.

Christian Bautista renews contract with Universal Records

Christian Bautista signed the contract with Universal Records executives on March 14, 2017. Present during the contract signing were Universal Records General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go, Operations Manager Peter Chan and Christian's manager Carlo Orosa. Christian signed with Universal Records in 2009 and the partnership has produced bestsellers like the Diamond Record "A Wonderful Christmas" and 4x Platinum certified "Romance Revisited: The Love Songs of Jose Mari Chan"

Christian is currently working on new materials for his upcoming album which will be released very soon. The Kapuso star was last seen on GMA's Superstar Duets and will also be part of Jennilyn Mercado-starrer My Love From The Star. Christian Bautista recalls past with Rachelle Ann Go on ‘The Way We Were’

Shot entirely in London, Christian Bautista’s latest music video “The Way We Were” features the London star and former flame Rachelle Ann Go. The song is included in Christian’s newest album “Soundtrack,” under Universal Records.

The music video, directed by Christian himself and shot by brother Joshua, features scenes from Christian and Rachelle’s recent meet-up in London. It also showed the former couple’s “happier days.”

Recently, the “Miss Saigon” star has been receiving rave reviews for her portrayal of Gigi. She also won Best Supporting Actress from Whatsonstage awards.

Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, with his soothing voice and memorable ballads, will serenade those who will watch his Heart’s Day show “Ace of Hearts,” February 14, 8 p.m., at the Ace Hotel, Kapitolyo, Pasig. The show will be his first V Day show in the country in recent years.

“It feels good to, once again, be part of the Valentine’s Day celebration of Filipinos – may they be single, in a relationship, or married,” says Christian. “Iba pa rin siyempre ‘pag Pinoy ang nag-se-celebrate ng Valentine’s.”

The show’s repertoire will include some of the most romantic OPM and international tunes, plus some of Christian’s biggest hits like The Way You Look At Me, Everything You Do, among others.

The Romantic Balladeer will also be joined by two revered theater actresses Sheila Valderrama, who recently bagged the Best New Female Recording Artist from the Awit Awards, and Cris Villonco, Christian’s leading lady in the upcoming musical “Ghost.”

The concert will also be the first time that Christian and Cris will perform a song from the musical, slated to premiere mid of 2014.

“It will be a romantic show,” assures Christian. “I hope you will come and join me in this romantic musical journey.”
