Acoustic Playlist follows a string of best-selling records for SABRINA. SABRINA SELLS MORE THAN 175,000 ALBUMS ACROSS ASIA

Another proud moment for us Filipinos!

Our very own Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart – Sabrina has once again achieved another milestone, bagging a cumulative album sales of more than 175,000 across Asia from her “I Love Acoustic Series 1-4” and her latest album “Acoustic Love Notes.”  A special recognition from MCA Music was presented to her last November 4 at GMA7’s Party Pilipinas.

Since the release of her first album under MCA Music back in 2008, she is only the 2^nd Filipino singer to reach this kind of success across Asia acquiring successful album releases here in the Philippines and also in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Korea reaching multiple Gold & Platinum record awards.  Her latest album, a collaboration with the popular radio & TV personality Joe D’ Mango turned Gold in Indonesia after only 2 months.

And another great news for all her fans and OPM enthusiasts, Sabrina, who’s been known for her acoustic renditions of current hit songs is now into songwriting having released two of her very own compositions “One True Love” and “Over For Now But Not Forever” in her latest album.   This November, “One True Love”   is also going to hit our local radio stations as this will be her third single for the said album.  She acknowledges the big task in this new undertaking and excitedly accepts the challenge in being able to express and translate her own experiences through her own music.

SABRINA’S “SA BAWAT PAGHINGA” IS THE THEME SONG OF GMA KOREANOVELA “ANGEL’S TEMPTATION”

Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart SABRINA releases her new single “Sa Bawat Paghinga” off her latest album “Acoustic Love Notes”.  The track, written by award-winning composer/ singer Toto Sorioso, is the theme song of GMA’s latest Korean series “Angel’s Temptation” which will premiere this August 27. It will be aired on prime time before the newscast “Saksi.”

“Angel’s Temptation” is a drama of love, family, revenge and reconciliation based on the theme, “Good and evil sprout from one root, and there is no absolute evil, nor absolute good. Revenge is not in the hands of man.” It stars top Korean actors Han Sang Jin as Cedric Shin, Bae Soo Bin as Angelo Ahn and Lee So Yeon as Anna Joo. Follow its story everyday and find out why it perfectly captures the lyrics of “Sa Bawat Paghinga.”

The song is the first Tagalog track Sabrina recorded after the success of her “I Love Acoustic” series albums which are certified multi-platinum in Southeast Asia. She is one of the artists aside from Christian Bautista to have successfully penetrated the region. Her current album “Acoustic Love Notes” featuring radio/ TV personality Joe D’Mango is released in the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea.

“It was easy for me to own it as I recorded it for Acoustic Love Notes because it speaks of a love you once had but lost. It tells about hoping that one day, maybe someday, he or she will be back for us to have and to hold. But until that happens, we can’t help but feel like we are lost in the woods, not having that person we want the most. It hurts, and every breathe we take without them are desperate attempts to live a life without our love,” Sabrina said.

Its music video directed by Daphne Oliveros and Lloyd San Diego will premiere on MYX this August 26 at 8pm.

Universal Music Indonesia, an affiliate of MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines) recently announced that Sabrina’s album “I Love Acoustic 4” has turned DOUBLE PLATINUM after being declared Gold November last year and Platinum in February of 2012.

After the success of her “I Love Acoustic” series which turned Multi-Platinum and Gold in countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart SABRINA releases a brand new album “Acoustic Love Notes”.

SABRINA “ACOUSTIC LOVE NOTES” LAUNCH— A SUCCESS!

Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart SABRINA recently held a successful launch of her latest album “Acoustic Love Notes” at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls last July 13 at Eastwood Mall Open Park, July 14 at Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill and July 15 at Lucky Chinatown Mall. She was joined by special guests- popular radio and TV personality Joe D’Mango and up and coming singer Anj Sulit who are both featured in Sabrina’s album.

Sabrina displayed flair on her spiels and demonstrated how vocally gifted she was throughout the 3 day launch and was backed up by a four-piece band with back-up singers. The 12 song set includes her carrier single “Somewhere Down The Road”; all-time love hits like “The Art of Letting Go”, “Insensitive”, “Cry”, “Officially Missing You” and “One Last Cry” among others as well as her original songs “Sa Bawat Paghinga”, “One True Love”, “Over For Now But Not Forever” and “Again”—her duet with talented singer Anj Sulit. The show was made special by the presence of Mr. Joe D’Mango who, in between songs, gave his love advice on-stage like his famous program “Love Notes”. Though it rained during the first day of the launch at the Eastwood Mall Open Park, fans still trooped and bought albums of Sabrina. She was also able to attract and impressed new fans during her shows at Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill and Lucky Chinatown Mall. MyPhone raffled off brand new Q88 cellphones for album buyers.

Sabrina, whose last album “I Love Acoustic 4” just turned Double Platinum in Indonesia could not be any happier with the turn-out of her album launch.

“No words can express how happy I am for the success of the Acoustic Love Notes 3-part album launch,” Sabrina said.

Her “I Love Acoustic” series albums were also Multi-Platinum and Gold success in countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. MCA MUSIC OPM ARTISTS SABRINA AND KRISSY & ERICKA SHINE AT JAY PARK’S MANILA SHOWCASE

As Korean pop sensation Jay Park conquered Manila with his moves, MCA Music’s OPM artists—Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart Sabrina and YouTube Sensations Krissy & Ericka, also took center stage as they opened for him during his shows. 

Sabrina impressed the audience with songs from her current album “I Love Acoustic 4” at Jay Park’s shows at Eastwood Mall Open Park last May 4 and Lucky Chinatown Mall last May 6. She also performed for the first time her latest single “Somewhere Down The Road” from her upcoming album “Acoustic Love Notes” which will feature radio and TV personality Joe D’Mango. Prior to the show, she bonded with the Korean superstar at Red Box Eastwood where they also posed for photos with Jay directing their poses. Sabrina continues to make waves in Southeast Asia which was proven by the recent Platinum awarding of her album “I Love Acoustic 4” in Indonesia.

Sister Krissy and Ericka meanwhile made an impact with their 3 song acoustic set last May 5 at the Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill. Jay Park was so delighted with their performance that he had to approach Krissy & Ericka to congratulate them before going up the stage to perform his own songs. Their single “12:51” from the album of the same title still rules the charts of radio stations from Luzon to Mindanao as well as music channels in the country. Krissy & Ericka is set to release their new single “In Your Arms”, another original song they wrote.
