Growing up in the small town of Settle,
North Yorkshire, John Newman fell in
love with music after discovering his mother’s old soul records. Eschewing a
life of loitering and petty crime, he quickly embraced his new passion and
began DJing parties and writing his own material at home in a small cupboard
under the stairs. After studying at the Leeds College of Music, he started to
build up a strong following with his instantly recognizable voice. He was a
featured vocalist on Rudimental’s invigorating single “Feel The Love”, which
became a #1 hit in the UK. Since then, he has decided to launch his own solo
career. With a #1 single already under his belt as a solo artist, Newman is off
to a brilliant start and is certainly a name to watch in the coming years.
The #1 hit single “Love Me Again” is now
available on iTunes.
