Carly Rae Jepsen Live In Manila! Media Conference

2012 was a breakthrough for Carly Rae Jepsen with her landslide hit "Call Me Maybe". Now, there's probably no one in the planet who doesn't know how to sing a few lines of the song.  Her single was sold in 47 countries and it already gathered millions of views in Vevo. I am very selective in choosing music but I admit I find her songs infectious besides Call Me Maybe, there's This Kiss and Good Time with collaboration with Owl City.

 

Now, she's here in Manila for a concert on July 7, 2013. When asked what are her plans while she's in the Philippines, she plans to do shopping which is her addiction, meet some local artist/s and try out some Pinoy food.

 

"My exposure to music came from my parents. She can listen to Jodi Mitchell and make a transition to Madonna. Carly Rae also has a background in theater and besides her music career, she also doing other projects like the 25th anniversary of Disney's The Little Mermaid which is why she had her hair dyed red.

 

Here are some things you don't know about Carly Rae Jepsen. She had her style of haircut like in her album photo since she was four years old. She is also an avid reader. "I am such a nerd", Carly says. She has a book club called Nerdy Girls Book Club. She also has a sweet tooth. She likes ice cream and she can bake her own muffins.
