“Diva” features one of the
country’s promising hiphop artist Ron Henley, whose YouTube videos like
“Biglang Liko” have reached more than 13 million views. The song, composed by
Ferdie Marquez and produced by Francis Guevarra, talks about divas who consider
themselves more important than others and those who are demanding and fussy.
Solenn relates to the song as she had encountered some “divas” especially in
showbiz.
The single was recently launched
at variety show “Sunday All Stars” where Solenn was surprised by executives of
MCA Music- OPM Marketing Manager Mark Bonifacio and Artist & Repertoire
Manager Kiko Guevarra, with a Platinum Award for selling more than 15,000
copies (physical and digital combined) for her debut album “Solenn”. Her first
album produced the hits “Fire”, “It’s Our First Time” and “Torn”.
Solenn’s sophomore album “SOS”
will be available on Smart Music and iTunes on August 26 and on CDs on
September 2. Aside from “Diva” the album will include compositions by rock icon
Ely Buendia and collaborations with hiphop artist Klumcee, The Morning Episodes
and American producers WeRWolvz.
